Verizon Gains Cisco Master Unified Communications Specialization
Verizon has become the latest to gain the “Cisco Master Unified Communications Specialization”. The relevance? This means Verizon has recieved the proper training required to sell, install, and provide support for the “Unified Communications” (U.C.) solutions from Cisco.
Anthony Recine, Vice President of Verizon Business’ Network and Communications Solutions Marketing division, stated:
“As the only U.S.-based global service provider to achieve both Master UC and Master Security specializations, we can deliver some of the most secure, integrated solutions available today. The powerful combination of Verizon’s network-based VoIP services and Cisco’s UC platform – together with our professional consulting expertise – is enabling better business processes and productivity for our customers while assembling the building blocks to provide cloud-based unified communications as a service.”
Achieving the award is no walk in the park. The Cisco Master U.C. Specializiation is one of many ranks in the Cisco program. Verizon first had to achieve the “Advanced Unified Communications Specialization”. The requirements for this ranking are both technical and service related capabilities, as well as requiring Verizon to meet certain industry standards and possess the required technical certifications. Verizon must also prove to Cisco that Verizon meets certain infrastructure requirements.
