Microsoft Releases Revised Dynamics CRM Online
Microsoft has made available their revised Dynamics CRM Online application globally, being the cloud-based version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 software.
Dynamics CRM Online was first introduced in 2008 to compete in the cloud-based Customer Relationship Management software market where Salesforce and Oracle had established their dominance. Earlier Microsoft filed a lawsuit for patent infringement against Salesforce, after Salesforce acquired Jigsaw. Both Microsoft and Oracle had reportedly licensed their cloud-based CRM offerings from Jigsaw. Salesforce had filed a counter-suit against Microsoft, but the issue has been settled amicably without disclosing details.
Later, Microsoft introduced their beta Dynamics CRM 2011. Microsoft is aggressively promoting Dynamics CRM Online as an affordable and easy-to-use software, for increased productivity, reliable integration with available tools and technologies, and improved flexibility. Excessive information and hype in the markets are leading to confusion and frustration among users trying to settle on the best affordable CRM solutions for their business applications.
Dynamics CRM 2011 and CRM Online have become familiar and connected products, available with the use of the Ribbon interface. Interoperability with Windows Azure, integration with Windows Live Messenger and Microsoft Office Communicator, contextual SharePoint capabilities, all linked to a new Microsoft Dynamics Marketplace find extensive end use applications. Microsoft is licensing Dynamics CRM Online for $34 per user per month that is 72% cheaper than what their competitors offer.
