Tata Communications India Launches InstaCompute In Singapore
Tata Communications, an Indian Web hosting provider, has launched their InstaCompute cloud IaaS service in Singapore. This service also covers Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Large and medium companies, the gaming industry, and global businesses located in these regions now have access to cloud computing services provided by Tata’s InstaCompute, over their IP backbone using MPLS networking. InstaCompute uses an automated web interface, to provide these services to various organizations, which in turn compete to manage their business in tune with the market conditions and technical applications.
The current center in Singapore is based in Tai Seng, Singapore at the Tata Communications Exchange Internet data center. The service agreement under InstaCompute offers unlimited customer support, management of multiple IP addresses, meeting load balancing and firewall requirements and credits passed on to the consumer in the event service down time.
The pay-as-you-use model permits Asia Pacific businesses to tap into global IT communications via the Internet. Consumers can avail a free trial of the offerings and decide upon their requirements, like traditional hosting services, co-location services, hybrid services combined with cloud, and direct connectivity. Pre-and-post-paid billing options in various currencies are also offered, using credit cards or traditional invoicing, as well as web-based services. Administrators can set up data for individual users and use project structures to allocate user access and monitor spending. Magma Studios of Singapore was the first customer of InstaCompute. InstaCompute is to be launched in Europe, the US and South Africa before the end of the year.
