Symantec Introduces New Symantec Endpoint Protection
Security firm Symantec has introduced a new version of Symantec Endpoint Protection to swiftly identify and block new threats with greater accuracy than their earlier versions.
The latest version of Endpoint Protection is capable of blocking threats that went un-noticed by using customary, standard and HIPS-based security solutions. Symantec Endpoint Protection 12 solution is based on Insight, a powerful cloud-based technology application.
Insight has already carefully analyzed several anonymous software adoption patterns from more than 175 million user computers to automatically develop security ratings of many unique software files exceeding 2.5 million.
The size, scope and sophistication of cyber crime is increasing day by day and all companies, irrespective of their size, are being targeted. The Award winning Symantec Endpoint Protection 12 based on Insight technology protects all customers —from sme’s to large enterprises in the quickest time. The overheads resulting from virus scanning can be reduced by 70 percent by using Insight to identify and whitelist files, resulting in lesser scans. The speeds achieved are found to be twice faster than the normal security solution. The solution also peruses 57 percent less memory than the normal security solution.
Symantec had earlier worked with VMware to leverage their CMware vShield technology.
