Phoenix NAP To Deploy Packet-Optical Solutions From Cyan
Data center operator Phoenix NAP is planning to deploy packet-optical solutions provided by Cyan to interconnect the company’s two independent co-location facilities situated in the Phoenix area.
The Cyan Z-series platforms were expected to provide Phoenix NAP with the required high-performance, low-latency dual transport between the two facilities. This was one of the many other carrier connectivity options being considered to be provided in their facilities in 2011.
The state-of-the-art Phoenix NAP Data Center was designed by applying the latest available technologies to support disaster recovery systems and to manage instantaneous business continuity of services by providing secure, highly dependable network access solutions. Cyan’s dominant transport solutions provided a rare combination of ultra-low latent transport, desirable architectural scale, and dependable performance, achievable with very simple and flexible operations. The customer services provided by Cyan were very dependable, meeting the diverse needs of various customers while offering lower infrastructure costs.
Cyan’s Z-series packet-optical transport solution combined with multi-layer software systems having diverse fiber optic paths enable customer traffic between the two facilities. Phoenix NAP was now better equipped for meeting the needs of their growing customer base. The Company could now deliver high-performing services, with greater visibility and at a lower cost. Cyan’s Z-series platform can also support Ethernet, DWDM and uses wavelength selectable switching mode for handling 10GB Ethernet transport. The platform offers pay-as-you-go functionality.
