Open Hosting Introduces New KVM Based Cloud Hosting

Web hosting provider Open Hosting has introduced their new KVM-based cloud hosting ‎platform containing improved features and functionality to customers. The new OHI ‎platform provides customers the capacity to instantaneously create servers, modify ‎capacity requirements to meet IT specific demands and scale based entirely on their ‎unique and specific project requirements. ‎Additionally, customers can choose the software to run their system, including Microsoft ‎Windows, without imposing restrictions on the customers’ required level of access.

All customers are enabled to take full control in order to install, scale up and customize ‎cloud servers to suit their specific needs. The new platform consists of a web control ‎panel and API, advanced Linux KVM virtualization, OHI servers capable of behaving ‎like “real” physical servers with storage, in built automatic redundancy, fully ‎independent, scalable resources, and the ability to operate the same on any operating ‎system and software.‎ The platform also has guaranteed CPU, RAM and storage allocations, has the ability to ‎collaborate and share information and data through OHI’s online community, server drive ‎image library, providing automated 24-hour monitoring and offering 100 percent service ‎level agreement.‎

The cloud hosting market was slowly moving toward a flexible, on-demand model with ‎utility pricing. OHI had been at the head of Utility or on-demand pricing. The updated ‎KVM-based platform provided incredible flexibility and scalability, allowing them to ‎optimize the cloud offerings. OHI Cloud Hosting has become simple and as close to ‎running a physical server.‎

Although Open Hosting provides the same level of computing resources and networking ‎services as obtained from a traditional dedicated host, the flexibility and instant ‎scalability along with improved efficiency of their operations, results in more efficient ‎billing and usage models.‎
