Nokia To Use Microsoft Software

‎Nokia, is all about to discard their own cellphone operating system and switch over to softwares developed by Microsoft, in an attempt to revive the company’s sagging ‎fortunes and regain lost ground in their market.

The parnership between the two giants, whose products ruled supreme in the marketplace, is ‎a calculated risk to gain a lasting foothold in the mushrooming market for smart-phones, ‎a place where Apple and Google have already established their presence with their ‎products like iPad and Android based devices. ‎

Nokia was passing through a critical time, where significant changes were necessary and ‎inevitable. It was time they took a new path, to regain market leadership, and to recover ‎their true value of their investments. There is no doubt that the Microsoft OS still reigns ‎supreme in the PC market but PCs are being replaced by the growing mobile smart ‎devices. Gaining access to the internet had become a priority for Microsoft, with a mere 2% presence in ‎the overall mobile software market. Microsoft stands to gain much more than Nokia in ‎these circumstances. Microsoft has developed only around 8000 applications by using their OS while Apple had close to 350,000 applications developed for ‎iPhone. ‎

The one big question to be answered is how swiftly Nokia can execute this challenging ‎assignment.‎
