Midas Medici Acquires Consonus
Midas Medici Group Holdings; a clean energy provider, has fully acquired colocation provider Consonus Technologies. The details of the deal were not revealed. Consonus has now officially merged with a wholly-owned subsidiary of Midas, after all the stocks were bought out.
Both Consonus and UtiliPoint International, an offshoot of Midas, would benefit from cross business opportunities. The combined entity would be a strong green IT based company specialized in offering virtualization, cloud computing, data management services and Smart Grid solutions.
The successful acquisition of Consonus was a great achievement, transforming Midas into an enterprise with focus on both green IT and Smart Grid solutions. All their customers based throughout Africa, Canada, Europe, Asia, South America and the United States, stand to benefit. Midas would expand their service and product offerings by utilizing the strengths of Consonus and UtiliPoint brands. Consonus would remain committed to their core business practices of data center infrastructure solutions and managed services, and optimize IT and data center investments, by providing co-location and cloud-based data center environments for their customers. Midas’ UtiliPoint would complement these services by providing green hosting and delivery of energy efficient IT infrastructure and consulting services.
