Microsoft To Display Windows 7 Slide Tablet At CES
Microsoft is about to display its new Windows 7 Tablet along with a Samsung model at the Consumer Electronics Show scheduled for January, 2011. A renning version of both devices are expected to be displayed at the event.
The Samsung version is said to be similar to the iPad version, slightly thicker and having a very unique slide out keyboard, very different from its earlier Samsung Galaxy Tab. Similar slate products from Dell and other partners, based on Windows 7, aimed at the niche business end user market, would also be on display. The new Black Berry Play Book is also expected to be exhibited. New slate hardware designs and products are also expected to be showcased during the event, and may include the much touted Windows Phone 7 or the Android based Honeycomb.
HTML5 is the preferred medium for developing software applications in newly designed slate based hardware and the applications may not be available in the usual places like the Zune Market and other application stores. The software developers and partners would host their applications in their respective web sites.
