Microsoft Introduces Free WebMatrix Software

Microsoft recently released their new free Web development software WebMatrix. An ‎user can use WebMatrix to create, build and deploy websites based on the web ‎technologies and content management systems of his liking, without having to switch ‎back and forth between applications in a very simple, and lightweight development ‎environment.‎

Sites can be built using templates from scratch as more than 40 open source web ‎applications are supported, like the popular Wordpress, Joomla, DotNetNuke, and more, ‎and files can then be edited in HTML, CSS, ASP.NET or PHP. Microsoft has made ‎ASP.NET distinctive in WebMatrix offerings and supported the Razor view engine and ‎unique single-line-of-code based helper functions to integrate with both external social ‎and commercial services.‎

Originally launched in beta software, the software was updated to beta 2 recently. Using ‎their WebMatrix, a new user can easily build, publish and manage a website. Developers ‎can master all skill levels with a sophisticated, yet easy-to-use solution to get their sites ‎online.‎
