iWeb Technologies, Canada Activates 1000 Smart Servers

Canadian Web host iWeb Technologies has activated 1000 Smart servers within three ‎months of launching the product. The company claims the product to represent their ‎largest innovation to date. ‎

iWeb is hosting nearly 15,000 dedicated servers in their four data centers based at ‎Montreal in Canada. Their iWeb-CO data center in Montreal also received the SAS 70 ‎Type II certification. The Smart Servers had become popular indicating the felt need for ‎autonomy in managing their hosting infrastructure amidst their customers.‎

An updated platform enables users to reinstall their Smart server based OS or their ‎cPanel configuration independently. Within 3 months, the Smart Server had become a ‎highly valued product for their customers.The delivery of their 1000th Smart Server only ‎confirmed that the product was a well developed and innovative product. Incidentally, it ‎may be noted that Smart Servers can be deployed within two hours. ‎

The company would bring out more features and new functions in the coming months, ‎supporting RAID hardware, integrating Intel’s new line of iCore processors and including ‎R1Soft backup solutions, along with improved security of their dedicated servers with ‎new firewall related functions. ‎

The revenues of the company saw an increase by 26 percent in 2010‎.
