i/o Opens New Data Center Industrial Unit in Phoenix

Data center operator i/o Data Centers has opened a new 221,000 square foot, modular ‎type data center industrial unit in Phoenix to manufacture their i/o ANYWHERE brand ‎data center modules.‎Initially, the facility plans to churn out data center modules of capacity rating18 MW ‎from the facility every month. The very first i/o ANYWHERE modules would be rolled ‎out of the factory in the first six months of 2011 to comply with existing orders. ‎

i/o ANYWHERE modular systems, released for the first time in July 2010, are most ‎suitable for customers who choose to deploy the modules at any of their own IT sites and ‎maintain them through their own staff.‎

As per i/o, the opening of a factory denoted the current day flexibility available to newly ‎opened data centers to be easily and conveniently converted into a more flexible and ‎scalable asset, where upon the lifecycle of current infrastructure could be extended, and ‎consumers using different sizes and capacities could afford to reduce their total cost of ‎ownership.‎

There is a great demand for i/o ANYWHERE modules from different types of users, as ‎other means of deploying data center capacity are unable to match their quality and ‎scalability. There is no need to deal with an incoherent series of data center acquisitions ‎and related construction activities to create data center capacity. i/o ANYWHERE is ‎capable of delivering the required enterprise data center capacity as and when needed.‎

i/o ANYWHERE, which is based on the i/o OS operating system, provides monitoring, ‎alarm systems, remote control and management systems with real-time information.‎ The modules can be easily configured, quickly delivered and made operational in a ‎matter of days or weeks.‎ The data center modules provided by i/o forms almost 100 percent of the critical ‎infrastructure required for an always-on data center and are scalable to meet power ‎demands ‎
