HostGator & LogicBoxes Partner
In a highly anticipated move (I myself had called on HostGator to do this a long time ago), HostGator has partnered with LogicBoxes. The two companies are hailing the partnership as a “Win-Win collaboration” and remark on the high level of synergy between their companies.
Brent Oxley, the Chairman of HostGator, said:
“The LogicBoxes Registrar Automation Platform allowed us to avoid having to ‘Reinvent the wheel’, so to speak. We realized that we’d have far greater ROI on our development resources by engaging them in perfecting our core products, viz. Hosting, rather than having them build Registry connections and manage all of its related tasks.”
LogicBoxes is assisting HostGator to become a Domain Name Registration service. Hostgator has decided to call the new domain name registration company “Launchpad Inc.” and will provide domain registration services sometime in 2011.
Bhavin Turakhia, CEO of LogicBoxes, stated:
“Our Platform represents a single point of Integration to over 50 popular TLDs across the internet, so companies like HostGator can effectively use the platform to go live as their own Registrar within a few weeks. And as we constantly add new TLDs, features to handle new ICANN and Registry policies, etc. to the platform, HostGator’s one-time integration effort is enough to always keep them on top of the ever-changing marketplace.”
The two companies both expect to profit from the agreement. Hostgator expects this to have no impact on daily operations for their existing customers. LogicBoxes will basically take care of all technical and regulatory issues for Hostgator, thus preventing any increase in costs for Hostgator.
