Honeycomb: What To Expect In The New Android?

Google’s Android tablet based on Android 3.0, Honeycomb, offering features like camera ‎support, improved navigation, graphics and an overhauled Android Market, has arrived. ‎The Motorola Xoom, is being released sometime this month. ‎

Android’s onscreen widgets, overhauled for Honeycomb tablets, can store more data than ‎previous versions. The widgets are scrollable, and display images, instead of text.‎

Software buttons have been provided on a system bar at the bottom of the tablet screen ‎for navigation. Buttons are provided on the bar for different applications. The action bar ‎is a customizable menu at the top of the screen, to perform common tasks such as ‎compose, star or delete for e-mail.‎

A new graphics engine called RenderScript, capable of speedy 2D and 3D graphics with ‎improved animations and transitions has been provided. Gmail video chat can be ‎organized by using a built in Webcam support.‎
