Google Rides High On Honeycomb Expectations
Expectations about Android-based tablets are high with a market that has been dominated by Apple’s iPad. At this point of time, the success of Android in the tablet form relies upon the performance of Android 3.0 Honeycomb.
The Motorola Xoom is one such honeycomb based tablet. But Android 3.0 Honeycomb is very special in its own way!
For one, Android 3.0 Honeycomb has the potential of reversing the success of iPad 2 later this year, if the Honeycomb delivers a fresh and innovative experience that consumers would relish in the days to come.
Secondly, the user interface has been stacked with typically new interfaces that promise to be exciting. A blend of aesthetics, combined with an equally unique layout, capable of offering virtual as well as holographic experiences. The experience is expected to be totally different from what is available in Apple’s iOS.
Although Google’s Android 2.2 did not match up-to the Apple’s innovative design features, Android 3.0 is expected to take the bull by its horn.
Many vendors have taken a calculated risk in basing their tablets on the Android Operating System platform, and success will redefine their markets.
