GeoTrust again ranked first in Alexa-Netcraft Index ‎

According to the December 2010 Alexa-Netcraft SSL Index, the most-visited websites ‎protect their visitors with GeoTrust certificates.‎

Subsequently, GeoTrust introduced a new commercial seeking support its latest ‎campaign asking Go Daddy consumers to deal in their SSL certificates for one from ‎GeoTrust without any charge.

The commercial is intended to spoof racy Go Daddy ads, ‎asking viewers “Who’s your Daddy Now?” and scorning Go Daddy’s use of poorly clad ‎women in advertisement.‎ As per December’s Alexa-Netcraft report, GeoTrust came above Go Daddy for the ‎seventh consecutive month, having secured 35,540 unique domains from among the ‎Internet’s 1 million most visited websites. Correspondingly Go Daddy registered 27,578 ‎unique domains during the same period. This goes tp prove that GeoTrust is consistent in ‎leading the low-cost based, high-volume segment of the SSL market over their ‎competitors like Go Daddy.

The company expects to continue their lead into 2011 on the ‎strength of their global reach, ease, affordability and product reputation.‎
Since May 2010 the Alexa-Netcraft SSL Index has been cross-referencing the Netcraft ‎SSL Survey along with the Alexa Top Sites List, demonstrating SSL certificate usage ‎across over1 million websites. GeoTrust is now offering companies a free 30-day trial of ‎their SSL certificates as part of their latest promotion efforts.
