FireHost Implements Unique Security View

‎Web hosting provider FireHost has inplemented a new Security View feature to their ‎customer portal, allowing customers to see attacks against their websites and applications ‎that were prevented by the security system. FireHost had earlier added two other features ‎to the customer portal, of providing access to real-time server metrics and the ‎functionality to reboot and shut down or restart servers as the situation demanded.‎

With this additional feature, a customer can actually classify the attack with reference to ‎the specific type and intention of attack, date of attack, and the site from which the attack ‎originated, as a free and useful up-datable information, reflecting the exemplary ‎commitment and transparency displayed by FireHost.‎ This also demonstrates their ability and confidence to block cyber-crime.

It is important ‎that companies must know about the number and types of attempted attacks to breach ‎their websites and applications on a day to day basis. Security View truly exposes the ‎reality of cybercrime situation prevailing and how they are being dealt with in real time.‎

The increased level of awareness would help improve the difficulties and constraints as ‎well as reveal the true nature and frequency of attacks so that customers are better ‎informed and conscious of the level of security requirements specific to their ‎organization.‎

The company has become a member of PCI Security Standards Council as a participating ‎organization, in order to assist and evolve the PCI Data Security Standard and other ‎security standards for the industry.‎
