Facebook Redesigns Profile Page

Facebook has recently redesigned its Profile Page, to enable its users to share more details, like posting photographs, and enlist their friends. Tidbits is an effort to start a conversation that will lead to more story telling episodes, in order to attract more followers to this site. Facebook has become the top Silicon Valley social networking delight, having more than 500 million users within a very short span.

Facebook has also recently introduced a new messaging platform, to take on the might of Google and Yahoo, and as an effort to capture the burgeoning local advertising space portal market.

The new design will enable established net users to share more information like their nativity, education, likes and dislikes, anecdotes etc without affecting their privacy, as the contents will be revealed only to their closest associates, with usual inbuilt controls. The above restrictions will also be applicable to tagged photographs. Only the permitted members would have access. The new facility will be extended to all Facebook members. The details of the new facility will be aired in their Sunday program by their CEO. Although Facebook is privately held, it has been estimated that the market capitalization has now currently touched almost $43 billion.
