Documentary Award-winner Kansas vs. Darwin is celebrating Darwin’s birthday. As a compliment, Kansas vs. Darwin, is being streamed free for 30 days, coinciding with Darwin’s birthday, on February 12, 2011.

The 82-minute Kansas vs. Darwin is a documentary film about the 2005 Kansas Board of Education hearings on evolution and Intelligent Design. The film captures the fierce politics of the conflict. Interviews of the principal participants on both sides are included. The film had won awards at the Secret City Film Festival held at Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and also at the ReelHeART Film Festival in Toronto, Canada. The film was also premiered at the Kansas International Film Festival in 2007. Over 350 institutions worldwide have stocked Kansas vs. Darwin as a part of their library collection as an academic subject.
