CyrusOne Opens London Facility To Enter European Market
Data center operator CyrusOne has entered the European market by opening their first 10,000 square foot co-location data center facility in London, UK. CyrusOne had nearly doubled the Company’s power capacity along with an increase in the data center space at their North Dallas co-location facility.
The move will facilitate the company to woo international customers and also improve the service offerings that meet international data center needs to all their existing and new clients. CyrusOne was also in a position to acquire or turn down an additional 10,000 square feet, to be taken upon request, as part of the agreement.
The company’s new data center, designed and built for meeting the standards specified for high availability co-location space, features N+N or N+1 power solutions, a minimum of N+1 standby provided for all cooling systems, a minimum N+N UPS with battery back-up, and adequate fire detection and suppression systems, security arrangements and intelligent building management systems. The data center has provided access to various telecommunication service providers like Abovenet, British Telecom, COLT, Easynet, Virgin Media, Vtesse and Verizon, in response to the growing demand of customers and evolving demand requirements for co-location space, in tune with some of the very attractive, growing market segments in Europe.
State-of-the-art construction, having a raised level floor space meeting the best engineering design standards with focus on both resiliencies and redundancies had been adopted at the center. The new data center would be operational in spring.
