Colocation America Reports 100% Up-time in 2010

Colocation provider Colocation America was extremely glad to announce that the ‎Company’s power utilization and core network up-time for the whole year of 2010 was ‎‎100 percent. Increase in consumer demand had fueled Colocation America’s large scale ‎up-gradation of their Telecom Center facility.‎

Colocation America had 22 data centers across the US, all of them linked to major ‎connectivity hubs. The company had attained this goal of 100% power utility and up-time for the second time in succession. Their ‎success was a result of their committed engineers and staff, and the timely investments ‎made into the data center infrastructure.‎

Colocation America attributes their 100 percent successful up-time endeavors to their redundant ‎power systems, which included inline power backups, onsite Caterpillar generators and ‎UPS systems. A power outage would trigger the UPS systems, which would immediately ‎start up generators to power the facility. ‎All their equipment were monitored using the UPS system, ensuring that only clean ‎power passed through the center keeping everything running. The company’s cooling ‎systems, redundant CRAC units kept their centers at the optimal temperature, preventing ‎overheating.‎
